On November 22nd, 2019, CNN released a list of the top 10 Best African artists of 2019, with Diamond Platnumz proudly taking the third spot.
Representing East Africa, Diamond Platnumz was the only artist from the region to make the list, beating out other notable artists from the continent.
According to CNN, Burna Boy from Nigeria took the top spot, followed closely by Angelique Kidjo from Benin, who is also a Grammy Award-winning artist.
Other notable artists on the list include Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Mr Eazi, Sho Madjozi, Busiswa Gqulu, and Mwila Musonda alias Slapdee.
