On November 23rd and 24th, the Betika na Community football tournament took place in Meru county, with local teams Lolomalik FC and Shake Stars emerging as the overall winners.
Lolomalik FC, the men's team, and Shake Stars, the women's team, received cash prizes of 200,000/- and 100,000/- respectively, as well as a Betika shop each.
The tournament, organized by Betika through their Betika Na Community initiative, aimed to invest in the youth by nurturing talent through sports, arts, and culture events.
As part of the initiative, participating teams were provided with football kits and balls to further their training, while over 7,000 fans attended the event.
The Betika Na Community initiative aims to support the youth in the community through provision of uniforms, financial support, kits, balls, nets, and other sports equipment.
