On November 23 and 24, 2019, the Betika Na Community football tournament was held in Meru county, where Lolomalik FC (Men's) and Shake Stars (women) emerged as the overall winners.
The two teams, who won KSh 200,000 and KSh 100,000 cash prizes respectively, were among 18 teams that participated in the tournament. Apart from the cash prizes, each winning team was awarded a Betika shop.
The initiative, which aims to support youth in the community through the provision of uniforms and financial support, also provided football kits and balls to all participating teams.
Organized by Betika through the recently launched Betika Na Community initiative, the tournament had over 7,000 fans in attendance.
As part of the week-long activities held by the betting firm in Meru, they handed out occupational gear and protective clothing to the residents.
