Kenyan gospel singer Ruth Matete recently tied the knot with John Apewajoye, better known as Beloved John, but their joyous celebration was marred by allegations of bigamy.
According to an interview with Mpasho, Ruth Matete revealed that she was aware of her husband's previous marriage to Juliet Aihinomo Idehen, with whom he had two children.
However, an undisclosed source reached out to Mpasho, claiming that Beloved John was still married to Juliet and that the two children were his with her.
Ruth Matete responded to these allegations, stating, 'Tell her to provide proof they are still married. I am aware that John is her ex-husband but they are not married anymore. I know the children because they are my husband's kids.'
Despite these claims, the couple's wedding was a grand affair, with family and friends in attendance.
