On Monday, the Employment and Labour Relations Court in Nairobi delivered a ruling that overturned a notice issued by TSC Boss Nancy Macharia in November this year, deregistering embattled KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion as a teacher and banning him from any teaching profession countrywide.

Justice Stephen Radido set aside the TSC notice and issued a conservatory order reinstating the expunged KNUT boss back to the teacher's register.

According to the gazette notice, TSC had removed Sossion's name from the Register of Teachers, citing section 30 of the TSC Act. However, the court's ruling has effectively overturned this decision.

Interestingly, Timon Oyucho, the head of the legal team representing TSC and Nancy Macharia, stated that his clients want to expunge the name of Ms. Macharia from the case. This move was met with a strong reaction from lawyer Paul Muite, who was representing Wilson Sossion.

Lawyer Muite attributed the problems in the TSC to individual actions, specifically those of Nancy Macharia.
