On November 26, 2019, Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino was recognized as the Member of Parliament of the Year, an award that he attributes to the overwhelming support of Kenyans.
However, his joy was short-lived as he was soon faced with a viral photo that showed him preparing cocaine for snorting, a claim he has vehemently denied.
According to Owino, the photo was edited to destroy his reputation, and he has come out to clear his name, sharing the original photo that shows him scrolling through his phone.
He also took the opportunity to share his recent experiences, including being poisoned at a Nairobi restaurant and being trailed by hoodlums who attempted to harm him.
Despite the challenges, Owino remains committed to serving his people and has vowed to ignore the attacks against him.
