Zimbabwe FA President Kamambo Arrested for Insulting Predecessor

On November 25, 2019, Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) President Felton Kamambo and his acting deputy Philemon Machana found themselves on the wrong side of the law after they sent telephone messages insulting their predecessor Phillip Chiyangwa.

Chiyangwa had reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of Kamambo and Machana on the same day.

They appeared before the Harare magistrate court on November 25, 2019, and faced charges related to the contravention of the Postal and Telecommunications Act.
