Kenya's Harambee Starlets made history by clinching their first Cecafa title after a resounding 2-0 victory over hosts Tanzania in the final on November 25, 2019, at Chamazi, Dar es Salaam.

Substitute Jentrix Shikangwa scored a brilliant double to secure the win for the Starlets, who had an impressive run throughout the competition, winning all their matches.

The team's impressive performance saw them score an incredible 24 goals in just five matches, with Shikangwa accounting for 10 of those goals despite often being used as a substitute.

Uganda's Crested Cranes finished as the second runners-up after thrashing Burundi 2-0.

The win was a sweet revenge for the Kenyan side, who had lost in the 2016 final to Uganda's Twiga Stars in Jinja, Uganda.
