Ruto Visits Pokot West Flood Victims as Matiang'i's Plane is Grounded

Deputy President William Ruto visited flood victims in Pokot West on November 25, 2019, after his plane landed safely in Kapenguria.

His visit came as Interior Minister Fred Matiang'i's plane was grounded in Eldoret due to bad weather, preventing him from joining Ruto on the trip.

According to reports, approximately 52 people have lost their lives in the floods, while 10,000 have been left homeless.

Ruto met with the flood victims who were hospitalized in Kapenguria County Hospital.

He was accompanied by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.

On November 25, 2019, Ruto's plane landed safely in Kapenguria, a few hours after Matiang'i's plane was grounded in Eldoret due to bad weather.
