On November 9, 2019, a disturbing incident occurred in Kayole estate, Nairobi, where a 27-year-old man allegedly committed an indecent act with a minor.
Alphonse Musoni, the accused, is said to have called a 7-year-old girl to his house while returning from a shop, claiming to show her his baby who was sleeping.
However, Musoni allegedly undressed the minor and committed the act, warning her against telling anyone.
The minor did not report the incident to her parents immediately but shared it with her friends a few days later, who then informed her parents.
Her parents subsequently reported the matter to the police, leading to Musoni's arrest.
On Friday, Musoni denied the charges before Makadara Law Courts Chief Magistrate Heston Nyaga, claiming he was unaware of the reason for his arrest.
His bond terms will be determined by a children's court after the minor testifies.
