Published on November 25, 2019, two brothers accused of involvement in the death of Star newspaper journalist Erick Oloo will remain in police custody for 11 more days pending conclusion of investigations.
The brothers, Victor Luta and Franklin Luta, were arraigned before Siaya Principal Magistrate James Ong'ondo, where the prosecution sought additional time to complete investigations.
Prosecutor County Criminal Investigations Officer Joseph Kinuthia requested 14 more days to conclude investigations into the matter.
The accused are expected back in court on December 10, 2019.
Chief Inspector Sabina Kerubo, her daughter, and house-help, who were arrested alongside Victor and Franklin, were not presented in court.
Erick Oloo's body was found in Kerubo's house on Thursday morning after he was suspected to have been murdered.
An autopsy conducted on Oloo's body showed he died from trauma caused by injury to his head and abdomen.
Government pathologist Gabriel Juma stated that the journalist died from excessive internal bleeding following injuries inflicted using a blunt object.
