On November 23, 2019, a tragic incident occurred at Rapogi Trading Centre in Migori county, leaving a family in mourning.
A 17-year-old girl, a class seven pupil at Rairi Primary School, was stabbed several times on the chest and neck by an unknown assailant.
According to the police report, a security guard who was on the night shift at a local pub witnessed the incident and immediately reported it to the authorities.
Uriri Sub County Police boss Peter Njoroge confirmed the incident, stating that police are currently looking for the suspect.
