On November 25, 2019, a tragic incident shook the Kibra slums in Nairobi, where a 33-year-old woman, Mwandikwa Kimwele, lost her life in a brutal murder.

Police swiftly responded to the scene and apprehended a 25-year-old suspect, who is expected to face various charges in court.

According to detectives, the motive behind the incident appears to be a domestic quarrel. The suspect's arrest has brought some relief to the community, particularly to the neighbors of renowned rapper Stivo Simple Boy, who hails from the same area.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, police in Mombasa are investigating a suspected suicide case involving a middle-aged man who jumped off a ferry into the Indian Ocean on Saturday night.

The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was seen running towards the back end of the MV Harambee Ferry and plunging into the ocean, wearing a vest and black shorts.

This incident is the second of its kind in recent weeks, following a similar incident where a man believed to be mentally ill threw himself into the ocean from the MV Jambo ferry a fortnight ago.
