On November 24, 2019, the Dallas Mavericks continued their winning streak, defeating the Houston Rockets 137-123 at the Toyota Center arena in front of a crowd of 18,050.
Luka Doncic, a 20-year-old Slovenian sensation, led the Mavericks with 41 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds. His impressive performance has pushed his per-game averages to near triple-double levels.
Doncic's fellow European sidekick, Kristaps Porzingis, of Latvia, also recorded a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Porzingis praised Doncic's exceptional play, saying, "Luka runs the show. We all depend on him most of the game, and he's playing incredible right now. He's getting guys open looks... I'm super happy for him."
Heading into the game, Doncic was averaging 33.3 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 11.0 assists during the Mavericks' five-game streak, which included back-to-back 40-point-plus victories over Cleveland and Golden State.
Tim Hardaway scored 31 points for the Mavericks, while James Harden finished with 32 points and 11 assists for the Rockets. The Rockets dropped their third straight game following an eight-game winning streak.
