On November 25, 2019, ODM leader Raila Odinga unveiled the party's new Headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi, marking a new dawn for the party.

As part of the unveiling, the party also revealed its road-map for the 2022 general elections, which will see the party inject new blood into its ranks.

ODM is set to hold its internal elections early next year, and Raila has promised that the party will revamp its leadership to ensure a fresh start.

The new Headquarters, valued at 70 million, will be led by professionals, overseen by the Secretariat Management Committee, which was constituted last year.

Current office holders, including Philip Etale, Joshua Kawino, Wafula Buke, and Rosemary Kariuki, will be required to apply afresh for their jobs alongside other new applicants.

The move has sent shockwaves through the Secretariat, with some officials facing the possibility of being shown the door.
