Published on November 25, 2019, Manchester United's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was left seething after a lacklustre first half against Sheffield United.

The Red Devils trailed 1-0 at the break, but Solskjaer's side staged an incredible comeback, scoring three times in seven minutes to earn a draw.

"We were very poor," Solskjaer said. "It made me think of Everton away last season when we were 2-0 down and lost 4-0 in the end."

The Manchester United boss revealed he considered making a wholesale change to his starting lineup at half-time, but ultimately decided to stick with his young players.

"Sheffield United looked like they wanted it more than us and believed in their game plan more than we did," Solskjaer said. "We did not have a shot on target first half, which is not acceptable."

Despite his anger and disappointment, Solskjaer praised his side's fighting spirit and credited them with learning a valuable lesson from the game.

"The difference in this team compared to last year is huge," he said. "They never give in. Last year we would have gone in four or five down instead of coming back. We would not have been able to come back."
