On November 19, 2019, a disturbing incident occurred at a home in Hamnza Estate, Makandara, Nairobi, where a four-year-old girl was allegedly touched inappropriately by her father.
John Moses Murimi, the father, has been charged with indecent act with a minor, a serious offense that has left the community in shock.
According to reports, the incident happened after the child found her father in the sitting room where he had slept with some visitors.
Murimi is said to have intentionally touched the child's private parts while others were asleep, leaving the child traumatized.
On Friday, Murimi denied the charges before Makadara Law Courts Chief Magistrate Heston Nyaga.
He was freed on a suspended bond of Sh 300,000 but will remain in custody until the minor testifies.
