On November 25, 2019, Kenyan singer Akothee narrowly escaped death after experiencing breathing difficulties while live on Instagram.
According to Akothee, she had been working late and had taken a hot bath before going live on the platform. However, she soon found herself struggling to breathe and passed out.
Fortunately, her manager and lover, Nelly Oaks, was present and quickly came to her aid, taking her out of the bathtub and placing her to bed.
Akothee expressed her gratitude to Nelly Oaks, saying, 'If you didn't work late yesterday, I would have died in the bathtub slaying on Instagram live.'
She also revealed that she had been struggling with fatigue and had taken sleeping pills, but nothing seemed to work. She said, 'I was tired and worn out, too tired to sleep, so I took a sleeping pill to knock me out, but nothing, my brain and heart were very awake.'
Despite her ordeal, Akothee finally admitted that she was tired and agreed to go to the hospital to treat her fatigue.
