On November 8, Andrew Githua, a resident of Eastleigh, was involved in a disturbing incident at a local food kiosk. The 25-year-old man, who claimed to be the son of a wealthy woman, was arrested and charged with spitting on food.

According to eyewitnesses, Githua had been smoking bhang at the kiosk before the incident occurred. He allegedly lit a roll of bhang and started smoking, announcing to the vendor, Nancy Njoki, that she should leave if she had a problem with the smoke.

When Njoki ignored him, Githua started calling her names and even incited her customers not to buy from her, claiming she would steal from them. In a shocking display of disrespect, he then unzipped his trousers and urinated on the goods, followed by coughing and spitting on the food.

The complainant, fed up with Githua's behavior, reported the incident at Pangani police station. Githua was later released on a cash bail of Sh5,000 and the hearing of the matter set for February 20 next year.

During his court appearance, Githua pleaded not guilty to the offense, claiming he was drunk at the time of the incident. His statement to the court was recorded in a police statement, which read, 'I'm not afraid of anyone. Whoever feels irritated by the smoke should go to hell. After all, my mother is a very rich woman and wealthy enough to buy my freedom if I get arrested.'
