With the Iowa caucuses just weeks away, Joe Biden's campaign is racing to improve its standing in the state. To that end, the campaign has been hosting several events with the Vilsacks over the weekend and plans an eight-day bus tour through the state after Thanksgiving and a return later in December.

According to the Biden campaign, its presence in Iowa is comparable to that of its rivals. The campaign claims to have 26 offices across the state, more than 100 staff members, and plans to continue adding staff and resources. In contrast, Senator Elizabeth Warren's campaign has more than 20 offices, while Pete Buttigieg's campaign has 29 offices with more to come.

The Biden campaign's bus tour is expected to include town hall-style events and activities with volunteers and precinct captains, such as visits to phone banks and door knocking. The counties the campaign will visit are largely rural and home to working-class voters who often connect with Biden. The campaign is also focused on ensuring Biden hits the threshold for accruing delegates across the state.
