Manchester United's thrilling comeback attempt fell short as Sheffield United earned a 3-3 draw at Bramall Lane in the Premier League on Sunday.

The visitors had been on the verge of a thrilling comeback victory, but a stoppage-time equalizer by Oli McBurnie denied them the win.

Manchester United's Mason Greenwood scored two goals in the second half, including the equalizer in the 73rd minute, to level the score at 2-2.

However, the visitors' momentum was short-lived as Sheffield United's Lys Mousset scored his fourth goal of the season in the 26th minute to give the home side a 2-0 lead.

Manchester United's goalkeeper David de Gea was instrumental in keeping his team in the match early on, making several crucial saves to deny Sheffield United's John Fleck and John Lundstram.

Sheffield United's John Fleck opened the scoring in the 19th minute, bundling home the opener after De Gea had denied Lundstram.
