On Saturday night, a middle-aged man took his life by jumping off the MV Harambee Ferry in Mombasa, plunging into the Indian Ocean.
According to eyewitnesses, the man was dressed in a vest and black shorts and ran through the back end of the ferry before throwing himself into the ocean.
The incident occurred around midnight when the man and other travelers were heading from the South Coast.
Witnesses claimed that the man appeared disturbed before taking his life.
This incident is the second of its kind in recent weeks, following another man believed to have been mentally ill who threw himself into the ocean from the MV Jambo ferry a fortnight ago.
