On a fateful Saturday night, a trailer smashed into the rear of a personal car ferrying a family of seven from Nakuru to Nairobi, leading to a devastating chain of events.
The accident occurred near Marula farm in Naivasha, where the personal car was squeezed between the two trailers, resulting in the deaths of two women and a six-year-old boy.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the last trailer claimed that his brakes failed, but initial investigations point to the driver's negligence as the cause of the accident.
Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed the incident, stating that the four injured family members were admitted to Naivasha sub-county hospital in serious but stable condition.
Following the accident, transport along the busy road was temporarily paralyzed, and the police moved in to tow away the wrecks and retrieve the bodies from the wreckage.
It is worth noting that this accident occurred near the same spot where six family members died two weeks prior, after their personal car was hit by a trailer from behind.
