On November 24, 2019, Akothee, a Kenyan musician, was saved from a potentially fatal situation by her manager Nelly Oaks.

Akothee had gone live on Instagram before experiencing breathing complications, which left her helpless in her bathtub.

She has since expressed her gratitude to Nelly Oaks for his timely intervention, saying 'So if you didn't work late yesterday, I would have died in the bathtub slaying on Instagram live.'

According to Akothee, the incident occurred when she was taking a hot bath at 11:00 PM. She had worked late, eaten fish, and then gone straight to her room, where Nelly Oaks had prepared her bath.

As she adjusted the water temperature and went live on Instagram, Akothee began to feel unwell and couldn't breathe. She pushed her phone away to avoid being seen naked, and Nelly Oaks heard the bang on the floor and came to her aid.

He found Akothee helpless and took her out of the bathtub, placing her in bed. Akothee has also revealed that she had been struggling with fatigue and had taken sleeping pills, but nothing seemed to work.

She eventually lost her breath again while having breakfast and was rushed to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with fatigue and flu.

Doctors' results showed that Akothee was 90% fatigued and 10% flu-stricken.
