On a chilly Saturday morning at Kakamega Showground, Kabras Sugar RFC dominated Blak Blad RFC 57-3 in a one-sided Kenya Cup match, securing their fifth win of the season.

South African fly-half Ntabeni Dikusa stole the show with a hat-trick of tries, while Kabras Sugar notched five tries in the opening half to lead 43-0 before adding four more after the restart.

Head coach Henley Du Plessis praised the team's performance, saying, 'The win today was important for us as we gear towards our biggest match of the season against KCB. The boys needed this and now we are going back to training to work out our defense and offense considering the bankers threat.'

Former Kenya Sevens scrumhalf Brian Tanga opened the scoring in the 15th minute, assisted by Fijian ace Jone Kubu. Kubu added two points from the tee for a 7-0 lead.

Outside centre Timoci Senaite then danced through Blad's midfield to assist Dikusa for his first try of the day, with Kubu adding the extras.

The 2016 champions went 21-0 up after Tanga combined with Dikusa from a scrum, with the South African sprinting for his brace and Kubu landing his third conversion.

Lawrence Buyachi assisted Senaite for his first try of the day, and Paul Abuto added a fifth try as the sugar men went to the break leading 33-0.

After the restart, Brian Juma and substitute Felix Ayange joined the scorer's lists, taking the scores to 43-0.

Barry Robinson sent the millers past the 50-points mark before Fijian Senaite offloaded to Dikusa to complete his hat-trick and final try of the match.

The victory saw Kabras Sugar maintain their top spot with 25 points from five wins.

They will now face record champions KCB next weekend.
