The third-year Bachelor of Science learner was attacked at around 5 am, just 200 meters from her rented house. The attacker not only raped her but also chopped off one of her arms.
The student, who was heading home with friends after a night out at a Bungoma Town nightclub, was left behind by her friends as they managed to escape. The suspect then committed the heinous crime, severing her left arm before tying the bleeding stem with barbed wire.
Hours later, the victim's arm was found wrapped in her bra and thrown on the roof of a nearby house.
