On matchday five of the Kenya Cup, Top Fry Nakuru recorded their second win in a row, defeating Western Bulls 23-10 at Bull Ring grounds in Kakamega.
The match began with Nakuru's impressive start, with Newton Okeyo scoring the first try in the 5th minute. Collins Onyango successfully converted the extras, giving Nakuru an early lead.
Western Bulls responded with a penalty kick in the 10th minute, earning them 3 points. However, Nakuru continued to dominate the game, with Onyango scoring a penalty in the 24th minute to extend their lead.
Edwin Makori scored a solo try for Nakuru, with Onyango converting successfully. The first half ended with Nakuru leading 20-3.
In the second half, Western Bulls scored a try through Lincoln Barasa, with Eugene Asava converting to halve the deficit. However, Nakuru maintained their lead, scoring a penalty to put the game to bed.
Elsewhere in the league, Impala humiliated Kisumu RFC 41-5, while KCB continued their 100% start to the season by defeating Homeboyz 27-24. Kabras Sugar maintained their top spot with a 57-3 win over BlakBlad.
