On November 19, a disturbing incident occurred at Eastmatt Supermarket in Kajiado, where a supervisor, Ibrahim Taraiya, was caught on camera assaulting a female cashier.
According to multiple sources, Taraiya was arrested on the same day but was released the following day.
However, on Saturday, November 23, the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecutor (ODPP) ordered his immediate arrest, paving the way for his arraignment in court on Monday, November 25.
As reported by uhondo.news, the ODPP has confirmed that Taraiya will be charged with assault and will appear in court for plea taking on Monday.
“ODPP has ordered for immediate arrest of Ibrahim Taraiya, a supervisor at Eastmatt Supermarket, Kajiado, for assaulting a teller. Ibrahim will be arraigned in Kajiado court, Monday, for plea taking on assault charge.”
