On a wet and muddy day, the eighth round of the KCB Kenya National Rally Championship zoomed off in Eldoret, with 17 cars revving off at the KCB Kenyatta Street branch on November 23, 2019.
The cars were flagged off by Uasin Gishu County Deputy Governor Daniel Kiprotich Chemno and Paul Russo, the KCB Group Regional Business Director and Managing Director of National Bank of Kenya, alongside several other dignitaries from the County.
Speaking at the flag off, Paul Russo said: “KCB Group is excited to be part of this thrilling motor sporting activity, it rained the entire night so this promises both a challenging opportunity to the drivers but an electrifying experience for the supporters. All the Best to the drivers.”
Drivers had to contend with wet conditions after it rained all night, and they will tackle 6 competitive sections: Kaptagat twice, Burgar twice, and Salabin twice, ending at KCB Iten.
Chager was the fastest through the opening stage at Kaptagat, followed by Flash Tundo.
