On November 23, 2019, Blazers (formerly Telkom) made history by clinching their record-breaking 22nd Kenya Hockey Union women's Premier League title with a match to spare.

The team's victory came after a convincing 4-0 win over United States International University of Africa (USIU-A) Spartans in a league match at the City Park Stadium in Nairobi.

Blazers' unbeaten streak and impressive performance earned them 35 points from 13 matches, leaving them nine points ahead of second-placed Spartans.

The team's success was attributed to the goals scored by Elinah Chebet, who scored a brace, and Terry Masibo and Audrey Omaido, who each scored one goal.

Stand-in coach Ruth Mbulo expressed her team's joy and relief at winning the title, citing the financial struggles they had faced since Telkom withdrew their sponsorship.

"It has not been easy since Telkom pulled out of sponsoring the team and the players have had to endure off the pitch problems but it has only served to make us stronger," Mbulo said.

With their league title secured, Blazers now focus on defending their Africa Cup of Club Championship title in Egypt, which begins on December 1.
