Amos Chege, a 25-year-old from rural Kenya, has an inspiring story of turning his passion into a successful business. After completing his primary school education, he began doing odd jobs to make ends meet. However, he soon discovered his interest in welding and fabrication through apprenticeship, which laid the foundation for his future career.

With a few years of experience under his belt, Chege enrolled in a two-month apprenticeship course in motorbike mechanics, which further honed his skills. He was later employed as a mechanic by a motorcycle spare parts dealer, but left the job a year ago to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams.

Today, Chege operates a freelance motorbike repair business from a permanent location, earning a daily income of Sh1,000. Despite the challenges of working in rural areas, where boda boda operators often fix minor issues themselves, Chege's expertise has earned him a loyal customer base.
