Published on November 23, 2019, the West Pokot landslides have claimed 24 lives, according to County Commissioner Apollo Okello.
The devastating landslides have destroyed a huge section of the Kitale-Lodwar road, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
Among the victims are 12 bodies, including 7 children, who were recovered in the West Pokot landslides.
