Reality TV star Bridget Achieng has been through a lot in her life, but nothing could have prepared her for the loss of her mother in March this year.
Speaking to Kiss100, Bridget revealed that her mother had been waiting for the blessing of a grandchild before her demise, and she was overjoyed when Bridget finally gave birth to her son Sekani.
'The morning before she died, I sent her photos of my son Sekani because she had insisted I send her. That was the last message and I’ve never deleted it,' Bridget said, fighting back tears.
Her mother's last words to her were words of wisdom and love, 'You have to be patient with people and don’t expect so much from them. Also don’t stop being nice to people.'
Bridget's mother was a great person with a good heart and was very patient with people, which is something that Bridget admires and aspires to be like.
However, losing her mother at the height of her career was painful for Bridget, who wished that her mother had more days to live and see her grandchildren.
She revealed that she had been trying to get pregnant for five years, and it was only with her current baby daddy that she finally conceived.
But what's even more heartbreaking is that her baby daddy asked her to abort the baby after three months, but Bridget couldn't bring herself to do it.
Despite the drama in her life, Bridget has found joy in the growth of her son and has no plans to get back together with her baby daddy.
She concluded by saying, 'I don’t regret having a baby.'
