On November 23, 2019, a tragic incident in Busia County highlighted the darker side of the bodybuilding industry. Six bodybuilders hired to provide security at a funeral lost their lives in a violent confrontation.

Behind the chiseled physiques and admiration from the public lies a harsh reality. Building huge muscles requires a tremendous amount of self-discipline, good nutrition, and a consistent workout routine.

Bodybuilders must adhere to a strict diet that includes amino acid-rich foods like beans, fish, eggs, beef, chicken breast, mushrooms, and milk. They also need to consume carbohydrate-rich foods like sweet potatoes, arrow roots, and vitamin-rich foods to speed up muscle growth.

The physical demands of bodybuilding are immense, with individuals having to lift heavy weights and develop a regular routine of eating small portions of food every three hours to activate larger muscles.

However, the financial burden of maintaining a bodybuilder's physique is significant, and many are exploited by their bosses, who often belittle and humiliate them.

As bodybuilders gain strength and reputation, their ego can become inflated, leading to a higher risk of violent confrontations. In some cases, these confrontations can be fatal.

Despite the risks, very few bodybuilders are able to break the cycle of exploitation and start their own companies or sign professional security contracts.
