Lionel Messi Surprises 15-Year-Old Borussia Dortmund Star Youssoufa Moukoko with Birthday Gift ¶
On November 23, 2019, Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi surprised Borussia Dortmund youngster Youssoufa Moukoko with a birthday gift on his 15th birthday.
Messi, who has been Moukoko's idol, sent a couple of things to the teenage sensation, including a postal of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Moukoko, who has been impressive for the German football league academy, took to Instagram to express his happiness after receiving the gift.
"Oh my god! Got this as a gift from my idol. Many thanks, Leo Messi. Thanks for all your birthday wishes," Moukoko said on Instagram.
Moukoko has been making waves in the football world, having made his U17 debut at the age of 12 and currently averaging at least a goal in every 54 minutes in the Bundesliga U19 season.
Coach Michael Skibbe has high praise for Moukoko, saying, "The boy will one day become a professional. That's as safe as the amen in the church. Only injuries could stop him."
Despite Moukoko's idol being Messi, the forward has replicated Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration when he scores.
