November 23, 2019, marks a day when Nairobi's faceless crime buster, 'Hessy wa Dandora,' sent a stern warning to two young men filmed brandishing a gun in a public service vehicle.
According to a video shared on social media, the two men were heard uttering profanities, with one of them proudly displaying a pistol tucked into his trousers.
On his Facebook page, Hessy wa Dandora shared the video, captioning it: 'Ndio hawa 2 wanajipiga kifua apa, they think this is South Africa #radar.'
Although Mwakilishi.com could not publish the video recording due to the explicit language used by the two men, Hessy wa Dandora's actions have sparked controversy in Nairobi's Eastlands area.
As a self-proclaimed crime fighter, Hessy wa Dandora has taken credit for the shooting of several suspected gangsters in the region, even posting their bloody photos on his social media page.
However, former Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinnet has disowned Hessy wa Dandora, stating that he is not a member of the police force.
Boinnet described Hessy wa Dandora as an 'excitable chap' with a strong interest in security matters, but not a representative of the police.
