On a thrilling Friday evening at the Moi International Sports Centre Indoor Arena in Kasarani, KCB's volleyball team showcased their prowess, defeating newcomers Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) 3-0 in the second match of the Kenya Volleyball Federation national League.
The match, played on November 22, 2019, saw KCB's trio of Leonida Kasaya, Violet Makuto, and Noel Murambi guide their team to a convincing win, with Kasaya and Jemimah Siangu being the main tormentors for the bankers.
DCI's Peris Kanus, Faith Imodia, Caroline Cheruto, and Caroline Sirengo put up a good fight, but ultimately fell short as KCB dominated in all departments, winning the first set 25-15.
The second set was closely contested, but KCB's razor-sharp spikes tore apart DCI's blocks, securing a 25-20 win.
Destined for a win, the bankers scored at will to easily clinch the third set 25-11.
With this victory, KCB will face Pipeline in their second match of the three-day event on Saturday.
