Granit Xhaka's future at Arsenal remains uncertain, but manager Unai Emery is giving the Swiss midfielder a lifeline.

Emery, speaking on November 21, 2019, suggested that Xhaka could still feature in the squad despite a recent bust-up with fans.

The incident occurred during a match against Crystal Palace in October, where Xhaka was substituted and subsequently booed by the crowd.

Emery wants fans to give Xhaka a second chance, saying, "The first question is don't forget his mistake, but he can come back showing his commitment, his good behaviour and good performances, helping and defending the Arsenal team."

Emery also cited Hector Bellerin as an example of a player who has overcome similar challenges and returned to the squad.

Arsenal faces Southampton on November 23, 2019, and Emery is hoping for a win to end a four-game losing streak.
