Published on November 22, 2019, Deputy President William Ruto and his Tanga Tanga brigade are set to launch their 2022 campaigns at Bomas of Kenya, disguised as a 'Thank You' rally for Kibra residents.

The event, scheduled to kick off at 10 am, is expected to attract politicians supporting Ruto's 2022 bid.

However, Ruto has turned his guns on Jubilee leaders who did not support McDonald Mariga, the party's candidate who lost in the Kibra by-election.

On Twitter, Ruto said the outcome of the Kibra mini-poll had shamed those Jubilee leaders who betrayed the party by supporting ODM candidate Bernard Imran Okoth instead of their own aspirant.

He added that his team had doubled the ruling party's presence in Raila Odinga's Kibra 'bedroom', a 'territory otherwise considered no-go'. 'We have demonstrated unprecedented resolve in the face of many odds to proudly double our % presence in territory otherwise considered no-go & shaming those who betrayed our leader & party,' Ruto said.

He also thanked those who supported Mariga and stood firm with the Jubilee candidate.
