On November 21, 2019, tragedy struck when K24 Head of Production Daniel Chemjor lost his life in a car accident. His car plunged into Cheploch Gorge in River Kerio, near the Kerio Valley Bridge.
According to reports, the car rolled several times before falling into the gorge. The process of retrieving the body and the vehicle was halted on the night of the accident due to darkness.
However, the car was successfully retrieved at around 11:45 am on Thursday, along with Chemjor's body.
K24 expressed their sadness after his death, stating, 'We mourn the death of our super Director, Daniel Chemjor, whose car plunged into the Cheploch Gorge last night. Rest in Peace super Director, Daniel Chemjor! Your wise counsel and mentorship will be remembered! Our heartfelt condolences to Chemjor's family and friends.'
Friends and colleagues have shared fond memories of Chemjor, describing him as a fun person.
