November 22, 2019, marked a significant day for Anne Kiguta as she reflected on her journey to becoming a celebrated journalist. Born into a humble family, Kiguta's determination and hard work paved the way for her success.
At just 18 years old, Kiguta started her career as a presenter at Hope FM, earning a meager income that she affectionately referred to as 'peanuts.' Her daily commute from Airport View Estate near T-Mall to NPC Valley Road was a testament to her dedication to her craft.
'I'd leave the Daystar Athi River campus, drop off at Airport view estate and literally walk all the way to NPC valley road... actually it was more like run!' Kiguta recalled in a heartfelt post on her Instagram, accompanied by a photo of her and DJ Mo back in 2005.
Unlike many celebrities who were born with silver spoons, Kiguta's family taught her the value of hard work. 'Like most of us, I wasn't born with much more than a loving and decent family. And like my family I had to learn how to work for any little thing I had,' she explained.
Today, Kiguta is one of Kenya's top-ranked female media personalities, with a career that has been 'incredible.' She has interviewed numerous high-profile individuals, including the President, and has been blessed with the authority to speak and be heard.
'This is the picture that reminds me He is still the same God and is still going to take me places and leave me speechless at what He will do,' Kiguta wrote, reflecting on her journey and the role of faith in her success.
