Published on November 22, 2019, residents of Mbiri Ward in Murang'a have been left stunned by a series of mysterious thefts targeting innerwear.

The thieves, who seem to be targeting only innerwear, have left residents wondering if the incidents are linked to witchcraft.

According to victims, the incidents have been ongoing for several months, with some reporting that their innerwear has been stolen from their homes while other valuables were left untouched.

"They have stolen about 30 of my panties and this has caused havoc in my family," said Millicent Wangui, a victim. "We feel that the matter is connected to witchcraft where witch-doctors have contracted some youth to only steal used women's bras and panties to advance their work," she added.

Area Chief David Gachanja confirmed the matter, stating that the police have launched investigations to establish the people behind the weird theft.
