On November 20, 2019, two suspects in a robbery with violence case escaped from Ruiru Police Station in Kenya.

According to Ruiru OCPD Phineas Ringerah, the suspects, Wycliffe Kori Achola and Dennis Atiwa, overpowered a police officer on duty and left him injured before fleeing at 5 a.m.

The officer, who was not seriously harmed, was left unconscious after being strangled by the suspects.

Mr. Ringerah urged the public to assist in tracing the suspects, who are considered dangerous and were set to be arraigned in court later that day.

He assured security stakeholders and the public that no officers were killed or seriously harmed during the escape.

Police are still pursuing the suspects and requesting the public's assistance in tracing their whereabouts.
