On November 21, 2019, Sky News issued an apology for its earlier reporting on the identity of a stowaway who fell from a Kenya Airways plane in London in June.

The stowaway, who was initially reported to be a Nairobi airport worker named Paul Manyasi, was identified through interviews with people claiming to be his friends, relatives, and colleagues, including his father.

However, it has since been revealed that the information was based on misleading interviews, and Sky News has apologized for its mistake.

According to a statement from Sky News, their reporting was 'founded on misleading information,' and they no longer have conclusive evidence that the stowaway worked for the cleaning company Colnet, which is based at the JKIA airport.

As a result, Sky News has apologized to Colnet for suggesting that the stowaway was one of their employees.
