On November 21, 2019, Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi unveiled its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, 'Big Hearts Unwrap Big Smiles', aimed at making a positive impact in the community.

The hotel partnered with Feed the Children, a leading anti-hunger organization, to launch the initiative. As part of the daily event, Mövenpick prepares enough food for its guests, with any leftover food being packaged and distributed to those in need.

According to Mehdi Morad, General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi and Country General Manager Accor for Kenya, 'We at Accor are deeply committed to giving back to the community and making a better life for them.'

Seintje Veldhuis, Regional Director for Feed the Children Kenya, expressed her delight at the partnership, stating, 'I am delighted we found this partnership. Together, we will realize our vision of a hunger-free childhood throughout the many acts of kindness.'

Guests can contribute to the initiative by adding extra numbers to their event, with all additional food going to charity.
