On Thursday, Kariobangi Sharks announced a significant partnership with Betway Kenya, a leading international betting company, at the Utalii Sports Grounds.
The deal was sealed in the presence of Kariobangi Sharks Chairman Robert Maoga, Betway Country Manager Leon Kiptum, Kariobangi Sharks patron Nick Mwendwa, and the team's coach and members.
Founded by Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president Nick Mwendwa, Kariobangi Sharks has risen through the ranks of the National Super League and earned promotion to the Kenya Premier League, showcasing exceptional talent and professionalism.
Speaking at the launch, Betway Kenya Country Manager Leon Kiptum highlighted the team's organisation and skillset as key factors in their decision to partner with Kariobangi Sharks.
"The organisation and skillset portrayed by the Kariobangi Sharks team served as an attraction for us and the professionalism portrayed by its management was convincing enough for us to make a decision to come in as the official sponsor of the team. We look forward to a great partnership and leading the team to greater heights," Kiptum said.
As part of the partnership, Betway will provide extensive global experience, offering opportunities for networking and exposure to the Kariobangi Sharks team.
The new Kariobangi Sharks jersey, featuring the Betway logo, was also unveiled during the launch.
