On November 21, 2019, a tragic incident shook the community of Karuri in Kiambu, where a four-year-old child lost their life after being brutally beaten by their parents.
Paul Kariuki and Cecilia Wangui, the child's parents, were arrested by the police and are currently in custody pending further investigations.
According to neighbors, the couple had a history of physically abusing their children, and this incident was not an isolated case.
The child received treatment at Tigoni Hospital but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.
Another similar incident was reported in Kiambaa, where a woman allegedly killed her child through brutal beating.
