On November 21, 2019, a disturbing video emerged on social media, showing a group of men brutally beating a student in Bomachoge Borabu constituency.

The incident occurred when the student went to apply for a bursary at the Bomachoge Borabu CDF Office. According to eyewitnesses, the attackers were supporters of the area MP, who accused the student of campaigning for the MP's rival in the last general elections.

Despite the incident happening three months prior, the area MP, Prof Zadoc Abel Ogutu, confirmed the incident and stated that the CDF officials involved had been sacked.

DCI detectives have launched an investigation into the matter and appealed to the victim to contact them for further action.

Prof Ogutu advised the victim to pursue legal action against the perpetrators.
