Angela Okutoyi, a 15-year-old from Kenya, has made a strong impression in the International Tennis Federation Juniors tournament, held at the Nairobi Club. On Thursday, she secured her spot in the semi-finals by defeating Motisoa Rasendra of Madagascar 6-4, 6-0.

Okutoyi's impressive performance has earned her a 100 percent win rate in the tournament, following her victory in the first leg last week. She had previously outclassed Sabira Mohamed of the United States 6-2, 7-5 in the round of 16.

Okutoyi's success has been a highlight of the tournament, with her Kenyan teammates being knocked out in the round of 16. The Kenya Open champion, currently ranked 385 in the world, is looking to maintain her momentum and reach the finals.

"There is always less pressure after the first leg and the matches become easier since you now understand your weaknesses and strengths better. I am now looking at getting to the finals first because the semis are always tough,” said Okutoyi.

Okutoyi will face Safi Meshkatolzahra of Iran in the semi-finals on Friday, while Burundi's Aisha Niyonkuru will meet Mialy Ranaivo of Madagascar in the other semi-final match.
