On November 21, 2019, a tragic car accident claimed the life of Daniel Chemjor, K24's Head of Production, in Cheploch Gorge, River Kerio, along the Iten Kabarnet road.
Chemjor was on his way to visit his wife, who had just given birth via cesarean section, when his car rolled several times near the Kerio Valley Bridge and plunged into the gorge.
Due to darkness, the retrieval of the body and the vehicle was halted overnight, but the process resumed the next day, and the car was finally retrieved at around 11:45 am on Thursday, along with Chemjor's body.
At the time of his death, Chemjor was producing K24's popular political show, Punch Line.
